An international first
The event lasted one evening, from 6 pm to 11 pm, and welcomed 60 participants to a full house. 30 amateur and professional short films were shown, some of which formed an official selection competing for a jury prize and an audience award. The audience voted for its 3 favourite short films after the screening, over a musical cocktail during which the prizes were then presented.
This first edition was a resounding success, both in the quality of the films and in the number of filmmakers who submitted their work. The audience’s enthusiastic response encouraged the organising team to prepare a second edition.

The Audience Award

A film by Eléonore Aguillon
Raphaëlle, a twenty-year-old pianist, is hired to look after an isolated house for the summer. In the midst of a crisis of legitimacy and questioning her life choices, she seizes the opportunity to get away. But she has to share the house with Arthur who, after an accident, cannot look after the place on his own while his brother is away. A taciturn man in his forties, he spends his days repainting the walls and moving the furniture around in clumsy, senseless ways.
Eléonore Aguillon, the director of this film blending music and colour — blue in particular — started playing music at the age of 11. The film was shot in her grandmother’s house, where she learned to play the piano. She holds a double degree in Film and Management and has also trained in musical theatre.
